I knew the name Janet Edsall well before I started working in real estate by virtue of seeing her name on so many yard signs throughout the Newton area. Little did I know that in 2006 I would be working for her and her husband, Allan Fields, at RE/MAX First Realty. Al and I wanted to write to thank you for the incredible job you did selling our home on Walnut Street. Not only were you extremely professional and knowledgeable, your warmth and willingness to help made all the difference in the world.
After living on our home for 35 years, and never having sold a home before, we were uncertain what to expect. You made what could have been an extremely difficult and confusing process into one that was so easy and comfortable. Whenever we had a question or concern, Al and I used to say, "all we have to do is call Janet". There were so many things you helped us with, from help getting us pre-approval (no easy task since we are both retired), to helping us find last-minute masons, gardeners and even a new Attorney when ours backed out just two days before signing the P&S for both the house we were selling as well as buying. You simply took care of everything for us.

When my elderly cousin died last September, as a co-trustee of her estate I was quite concerned that it would be difficult to dispose of the property she left in Newton Center. I had no knowledge of market conditions, I live in Palm Springs and the other trustee is in St. Louis, and I was well aware of the fact that the house had not been properyly maintained. We were both concerned that it would be a millstone around our necks, and also that it was our duty to get it sold.
